Website Launch: Niagara Community Data Consortium

The Niagara Community Data Consortium is an initiative lead by the Niagara Workforce Planning Board. Targeted generally at non-profit, charitable, and government (or government-funded) organizations, the goal is to provide access to data at a greatly-reduced cost by acquiring it in bulk. NCDC members are given direct access to data from over 20 public and private data providers, including: census and National Household Survey tables, Statistics Canada’s General Social Survey, and more.

In order to promote this program to potential consortium members, Future Access partnered with the Niagara Workforce Planning Board to build a mobile-friendly, responsive website and a professional tri-fold brochure. These promotional items are instrumental in creating awareness and educating potential members about the benefits of joining NCDC. The website also serves as a portal for members to access resources, and provides direct links to the Community Data repository.

The website was created using the WordPress CMS platform with a custom theme developed by Future Access. This allows for an extremely clean and flexible layout that loads quickly and responds easily to devices of all sizes, including laptops, tablets, and smartphones. In addition, the site includes several accessibility features to meet the requirements of the AODA (Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act). Because the site is developed in WordPress, staff from the Niagara Workforce Planning Board can easily update the site to add new content, post new help guides, add member testimonials, and more!

This was a great project to work on. Future Access was able to provide on-time, 5-star service to our partners at the Niagara Workforce Planning Board.  Here is what they had to say about working with us:

“Service was fast, friendly and efficient; the product was high-quality. We plan on using Future Access again in the future and would recommend them strongly.”
– David Alexander, Niagara Workforce Planning Board

Future Access extends our thanks to everyone at the Niagara Workforce Planning Board for the opportunity to work together on the Niagara Community Data Consortium, and we look forward to working with you again on your next project!
